Bournemouth Ballers

By invitation. By instinct. By the A338.

A curated network of Bournemouth's most driven entrepreneurs.
Private by design. Selective by necessity.

Est. 2024 — Bournemouth, Dorset

Bournemouth Ballers is not a networking group. Networking groups have lanyards. We have standards.

We are a private members club for the entrepreneurs, directors, and operators who built something real in this postcode — and who have the Defender scratches to prove it.

Membership is not advertised. It is not discounted. It is not explained at length to people who would need the explanation.

Admission Criteria

What We Look For

01

Own a Business or Hold a Directorship

Companies House is publicly searchable. We will check. The club does not extend membership to those who are "basically running things" without the paperwork to confirm it.

02

Drive a Defender

Preferably a 110. A 90 is acceptable. A Tesla will be tolerated if the business metrics justify it. Please note: "I'm thinking of getting one" is not the same as ownership.

03

Understand Jimmy's Iced Coffee

Not as a beverage. As a philosophy. Founded here. Scaled globally. That trajectory is what we are drawn to. Oat flat white acceptable as a secondary option.

04

A LinkedIn Presence That Commands Respect

The word "founder" should appear. "Serial entrepreneur" is acceptable and frankly preferred. A profile photo taken outdoors in technical outerwear will be viewed favourably.

05

Strong Opinions on the Local Property Market

Sandbanks. Canford Cliffs. The triangle. Members are expected to have views on all three. "I'm looking at something" counts. Having already purchased is, naturally, preferred.

06

A Morning Routine You Mention Without Being Asked

Cold exposure, structured journalling, or a specific protein intake protocol. The content matters less than the commitment to telling people about it before 9am.

07

Technical Outerwear Worn in Non-Technical Settings

Arc'teryx to a board meeting. Thrudark at a client lunch. Stone Island to collect the children. The garment signals that you could leave for the mountains at any moment. You will not.

08

At Least One Active Side Hustle

Ideally two. The side hustle need not yet be profitable — we understand the trajectory. However, it must have a name, a domain, and a slide deck prepared in the event of interest.

09

A Relationship With the A338

You have suffered it. You have a preferred departure time. You have, at some point, described your approach to the A338 as a "system." This is correct and we respect it.

"The right room changes everything. We built this one ourselves."

In Their Own Words

"I'd been in a dozen networking groups. Breakfasts with lanyards. Rooms full of people handing out business cards they'd never get round to following up. Bournemouth Ballers is different. I can't fully explain why without sounding like I'm in a cult, but the Defender parking alone tells you everything."

James H.

Founder & CEO — Dorset, 4 exits, 2 in progress

"I was invited. I nearly didn't come because it clashed with my morning cold plunge. I rescheduled the plunge. That was the right call. Within six weeks I'd restructured two revenue streams based on conversations in the car park."

Marcus T.

Serial Entrepreneur — 3 brands, 1 podcast (pending)

"My personal brand needed a room. This was the room. I've since been invited onto two podcasts, been quoted in a trade journal I'd never heard of, and someone asked me to keynote something. I said yes. I'm still not sure what it is."

Sophie C.

Co-Founder — Scaling. Authentic. Driven.
